THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; BIDS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-32. Provide unit price and extended amount for each of the following items: Item No. 1: Suspension Insulator, Polymer type 18, Weather-Sheds Eye/Ball, Ohio Brass Cat. No. 232007-3001, or equal. Quantity: 900 each. Item No. 2: Suspension Insulator, 15 KV, Polymer type, A.B. Chance Epoxilator II Cat. No. C654-0000, or equal. Quantity: 550 each. TOTAL CUBIC MEASUREMENTS: /----/ Cubic Feet. Internal rod strength: 100,000 psi; d. 15 KV rating; e. Ultimate tensile: 15,000 lbs.; f. Flashover at 60 Hz, Dry 100 kV and Wet 75 KV; Impulse positive 140 kV and Negative 180 kV; g. Nothwithstanding Clause 52.214 (i) Payment, inspections shall be conducted on the Isthmus of Panama by the Commission. The Commission shall perform inspection in an expeditious manner but no later than 30 days after the supplies are received at their ultimate destination in the Republic of Panama. After receipt of the items at their destination point, the Commission will pay 85% of the total contract amount. The balance of 15% shall be paid after items are inspected and accepted.
