Shall have a minimum rated capacity of 2586 KG. Shall have a means of maintaining a constant tension line pull on the boat falls, (ram tension is acceptable). Davit hook shall be an off load quick release safety type. Shall have a dynamic shock absorber. Shall utilize 440 vac, 3 phase, 60 Hz electric power input. Amperage shall not exceed 75 amps during hoisting. Safety and other control switches shall operate on 115 vac. Primary power operated by a dedicated hydraulic power unit with a manual backup in accordance with SOLAS. To be a single point pickup, deck mounted, non slewing pivoting type, capable of a minimum lowering speed of 12 meters/min, a max lowering speed of 30 meter/min and a max hoisting speed of 30 meter/min. The davit and rib operation and handling inboard of the gunwale shall be within an envelope 7.92 meters fore and aft, 5.35 meters athwart ship and 4.49 meters high.
