provide the materials, equipment, and labor for the demolition of
existing support space, remodeling, and construction of new support
space including architectural, structural, electrical, fire protection,
mechanical, and plumbing systems located in the southern portion of
Building N239A. The project area is approxi mately 470 square meters on
each of two floors. The project is located at NASA-Ames Research
Center, Moffett Field, California 94035-1000. The magnitude of
construction is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The period of
performance is 275 calendar days. There will be a non-refundable charge
of $60.00 for each set of plans and specifications. Make check payable

date for solicitation RFO2-36581(JXH) is 5/22/96. The expected return
date for an offer is 6/26/96. All responsible sources may submit an
offer which will be considered by the Agency. This project is 100%
set-aside for small business concerns. All requests for copies of
solicitation RFO2-36581(JXH) shall be in writing and directed to Chris

under the NASA Pilot Test Program approved by the Federal Procurement
Policy on August 22, 1994. An ombudsman has been appointed to hear
concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and contractor during the
preaward phases of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombusdman is
not to diminish the authority of the contracting officer, the Source
Evaluation Board, or the selection official, but to communicate
concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations of interested
parties to the appropriate Government personnel and to work to resolve
them. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict
confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The ombudsman does not
participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection
process, or the adjudication of formal contract disputes. Interested
