The U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Integration and Public Accountability, Environmental Restoration and Waste Management Program has a need for support services to support public involvement efforts and public outreach task forces. Such suport services would be technical, analytical and administrative expertise to assist in the development of educational materials; development and conduct of public participation programs; the compilation and and summary of public participation activities; the implementation and evaluation of public participation workshops; technical support for the Office of Environmental Restoration and Waste Management advisory boards and ad hoc task forces; support to the Environmental Restoration and Waste Management Information Center; the development of pbulic information brochures to inform the public of upcoming initiatives; support for the showings of the EM travelling exhibit; administrative support in contractor supplied locations to facilitate the production of the public outreach activities and to accommodate meeting and work by authors and editors; and assistance in the design, development and implementation of outreach workshops and related administrative support. A cost-reimbursable, Indefinite Quantity, Task Order contract with performance incentives is anticipated. The Department of Energy anticipates awarding a single contract from initial offers. The solicitation will be available for downloading from the DOE Business Communications Center on the FedWorld Bulletin Board. The solicitation is also available through the Internet on the ''Doing Business with DOE,'' via the Business Communications Center, ''access to the FedWorld Library of Files''. Prospective offerors that do not have electronic means for obtaining or downloading the solicitation through the Internet, may submit a written request to the Contract Specialist, requesting a copy of the solicitation be downloaded onto an MS-DOS fromatted high density 3 1/2'' diskette provided by the requestor. The requestor must include a self-addressed stamped envelope suitable for the return of the diskette. No paper copies of the solicitation shall be provided. Important--Contractors currently listed on the Department Bidder Mailing List for the SIC code 8743 will NOT automatically receive an electronic copy of the solicitation. All offerors interested in being notified when the actual solicitation and any related amendments are released, should send an e-mail address or fax number to the Contract Specialist listed in the notice. The message should include your name, company address, e-mail address, fax number, and the desired solicitation number. The Contract Specialist will transmit messages via e-mail or fax to all interested parties when the solicitation is released. Notificaiton of amendments will only be transmitted to those offerors that submit an intent to submit an offer. It is the responsibility of the prospective offerors to notify the Contract Specialist of their intent to submit an offer. Without such notification, propsective offerors may not be informed when amendments and other solicitation related information is posted to the FedWorld Bulletin Board.
