The USAF is conducting a market survey for suitable vendors who produce, or can produce, a pylon suitable for installation on the F-16 which is capable of carrying the SUU-25 dispenser with a full complement of LUU-2/B flares (500 lb Total Store Weight). Priority will be given to vendors who have currently available, off-the-shelf hardware which is nondevelopmental in nature and is currently certified on F-16 aircraft. Pylons must be capable of interfacing with MIL-STD-1760 hardware 1553 MUX. Pylon descriptions, technical drawings and cost are required NLT, 7 June 1996. All responsible vendors must be able to provide four pylons for USAF purchase for qualification testing by 1 October 1996.
