The Administration for Children and Families requires the services of
a contractor to provide training and technical assistance (T/TA) to
support the development and accomplishment of national Head Start
program improvement objectives. The contractor will be required to
assist and support the Head Start Bureau in developing information
relating to Head Start goals and objectives. The contractor will be
required to transmit this information, as well as training materials,
to other Head Start T/TA providers and Head Start grantees. The
contractor will also be required to train other Head Start T/TA
providers in order to update these providers knowledge of Head Start
goals and initatives as well as to update their knowledge of the field
of child development. The contractor will be required (1) to organize
and manintain a resource pool; (2) to assist in the planning and
conduct of major Head Start Bureau training events, cluster meetings,
and special projects; and (3) to compile and prepare for publication
the Head Start Bulletin. The period of performance will be one year
with four 1-year options, if exercised. The solicitation will be issued
on or about May 17, 1996. All requests for the RFP must be in writing.
