The proposed procurement consists of providing all the necessary personnel, facilities, equipment and materials required to remove existing asphalt shingles/felt, existing drip edge, existing deteriorated roof sheathing boards, existing roofing vents, chimney steps, EIFS. New work shall include the installation of: fiberglass shingles/felt; roof sheathing boards, aluminum drip edge, aluminum vent fans, chimney caps on four (4) two story concrete block buildings (180' -2'' long x 30' -8'' wide - 5/12 pitch) with two porches (approximately 9' -6'' x 9' -6''). Prospective contractors are required to possess a Virginia Class A license to submit a bid in response to this solicitation. The Government's estimated price range for the work is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Construction will take place at the FEMA Mt. Weather Emergency Assistance Center, 19844 Blue Ridge Mountain Rd., (State Rt. 601), Bluemont, VA, Clarke County. A firm-fixed price construction contract is anticipated to be awarded. A Prebid Conference and Site Visit will be scheduled, the exact date and time will be identified in the solicitation, Section L. The period of performance will be 120 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed.
