Winski, Contract Negotiator, (215)697-9622. The Fleet and Industrial
Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk Det Philadelphia intends to solicit on a
full and open competitive basis for the provision of education services
to teach an academic program in Business Logistics to provide upward
mobility and professional training to DOD personnel in lower and
mid-level positions. The program's goal is to increase the pool of
professionally trained individuals capable of assuming senior level
logistics management positions. 34 courses (3 credits each) are to be
included in the program. Two additional preliminary courses may be
required. Six courses are to be taught during CY 97 beginning Jan 97.
The contract will contain the base year and four (4) option years. All
courses will be taught at the Naval Inventory Control Point -
Mechanicsburg, 5450 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. A firm
fixed contract is contemplated. The Government plans to make a single
award to the eligible, responsible offeror whose total proposal on all
items is the lowest priced. This contract covers the Government's
minimum needs. The solicitation will contain a Statement of Work and an
Attachment describing the courses needed. The applicable Standard
Industrial Classification Number is 8221. All responsible accredited
colleges/universities may submit a proposal which shall be considered
by the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk Det
