R -- INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONTRACT, GEOTECHNICAL SERVICES SOL RP300096045. Due 051596. POC Mark Gatlin, 202/485-9725. Provide geotechnical services on National Park lands in Maryland, District of Columbia, Virginia and West Virginia. Anticipated work consists of soil boring, rock coring, sampling, lab testing and analyzing, design recommendations and consultation, and field verification and testing during construction. All work must conform to standards and specifications of the National Capital Area, Office of Design Services. Project size will range in size from one or two to several dozen borings. Surface conditions will range from pavement to marshlands and rivers. An indefinite quantity contract for a base period and four option periods is contemplated. The estimated magnitude for each performance period is $2,500 to $100,000. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Interested firms responding to this announcement by submitting a completed SF 254 and SF 255 by 4:00 pm, 5/15/96, will be considered for selection. Firms having a current SF 254 on file with this office must respond with a letter of interest and a completed SF 255 by the closing date. Information sent in addition to the above will be disregarded. Specific evaluation criteria in descending order of importance are as follows: 1. Specialized experience and technical competence in geotechnical services; 2. Past performance on similar work in terms of quality, cost control, and performance schedule compliance; 3. Professional qualifications and proposed key personnel experience as it relates to pertinent services. Professional registration by certifying engineer is required; 4. Geographical proximity to the National Capital Area offices of a fully staffed professional office; 5. Capacity to accomplish work within time schedules. (113)
