062196 POC Contact Christing Dauer at (404)842-6553 Request for
information regarding immunization registry software due 062196 POC
Contact Christine Dauer at (404) 842-6553 The Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Agency for Toxic Substances and
Disease Registry (ATSDR), headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is
interested in pursuing immunization registry software systems that may
be used by various State/U.S. Territory and local community health
officials to establish community based immunization registries in their
areas. These systems are to assist private and public providers to
operate their immunization activities more efficiently. Immunization
registry software should include the following functions: assemble
timely and accurate information on the immunization status of children
(and where feasible also adolescents and adults) within any community;
indicate the date when next immunizations are due; provide
reminder/recall capability; provide providers capability of assessing
their immunization practices and coverage levels; provide a secure and
confidential means of communicating immunization data; and provide
inventory control of vaccines. CDC is seeking detailed information on
various software systems for use on various computer configurations and
platforms, such as mainframe, client server, distributed databases,
etc. Immunization registry software may be either part of a larger
medical practice office or a stand-alone system capable of
communicating with other databases. Respondents should provide detailed
software capabilities, documentation, user references, and references
from current clients. This is a request for information only, and no
solicitation document for such a system exits at this time. CDC may,
however, use information contained from this request when structuring
solicitation documents in the future. NOTE: No solicitation document
exists at this time. Interested parties may send information packets to
Christine Dauer, Contract Specialist at the address above. Do not Fax
information. (0115) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0025 19960425\D-0008.SOL)
