D -- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION REGARDING REGISTRY SOFTWARE SYSTEMS DUE 062196 POC Contact Christing Dauer at (404)842-6553 Request for information regarding immunization registry software due 062196 POC Contact Christine Dauer at (404) 842-6553 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is interested in pursuing immunization registry software systems that may be used by various State/U.S. Territory and local community health officials to establish community based immunization registries in their areas. These systems are to assist private and public providers to operate their immunization activities more efficiently. Immunization registry software should include the following functions: assemble timely and accurate information on the immunization status of children (and where feasible also adolescents and adults) within any community; indicate the date when next immunizations are due; provide reminder/recall capability; provide providers capability of assessing their immunization practices and coverage levels; provide a secure and confidential means of communicating immunization data; and provide inventory control of vaccines. CDC is seeking detailed information on various software systems for use on various computer configurations and platforms, such as mainframe, client server, distributed databases, etc. Immunization registry software may be either part of a larger medical practice office or a stand-alone system capable of communicating with other databases. Respondents should provide detailed software capabilities, documentation, user references, and references from current clients. This is a request for information only, and no solicitation document for such a system exits at this time. CDC may, however, use information contained from this request when structuring solicitation documents in the future. NOTE: No solicitation document exists at this time.
