The Air Force Mobility Command (AMC) is requesting information for evaluating the feasibility of contracting the maintenance of air traffic control and landing systems (ATCALS), radar equipment, and meteorological and navigational aids (METNAV) equipment at the following AMC bases: 1) Meteorological equipment at Andrews AFB MD and Charleston AFB SC, 2) Meteorological, Radar, Instrument Landing Systems (ILS) and Tactical Navigation (TACAN) equipment at Dover AFB DE, Fairchild AFB WA, Grand Forks AFB ND, and McConnell AFB KS, 3) Meteorological, Radar, ILS, TACAN, and Very High Frequency Omnirange Radio (VOR) equipment at McGuire AFB NJ and Travis AFB CA, 4) Meteorological, Radar, ILS, TACAN, and VOR equipment at McChord AFB WA, 5) Meteorological, Radar, ILS, and TACAN equipment at Scott AFB IL and McDill AFB FL. Maintenance of this equipment is required on a 24 hr/day, 7/days/week basis. This requirement can be filled by one 8 hr shift/day (week-days), with 16 hrs/day (week-days) on-call (standby). Weekends and holidays will require 24 hr/day on-call (standby). The on-call response will have to be determined at each location due to local environmental variations. Vendors are encouraged to submit their strategy for fulfilling these requirements. This Request for Information is not a commercial solicitation and the Government will pay neither for any information submitted nor for any costs incurred in preparing a response to this RFI.
