43 -- LIQUID NITROGEN PUMPS/COMPRESSORS/VAPORIZERS SOL F40650-96-R-0016 DUE 060596 POC Kathy P. Swanson, Contract Specialist, (615)454-7841 This procurement consists of the manufacture of four pieces of equipment to be installed as part of a liquid nitrogen/gaseous nitrogen storage and conversion facility located at Arnold Air Force Base. Project 1 requires the manufacture, test, and delivery of two (2) liquid nitrogen pumps complete with lubrication system, spacer block heater, oil heater, and motor drives. Project 2 requires the manufacture, test, and delivery of two (2) single stage, rotary piston vacuum pumps complete with motor drives, common baseplate, and belt drive system. Project 3 requires the manufacture, test, and delivery of two (2) horizontal axis shell-and-tube liquid nitrogen vaporizers complete with shell insulation, steam traps, and steel support legs. Project 4 requires the manufacture, test, and delivery of one (1) liquid nitrogen pump and two (2) liquid nitrogen booster pumps. Each pump shall be furnished with mechanical shaft seals, motor driver, common baseplate, and coupling. Bids will be evaluated to determine if awarding separate or combined line items (multiple awards) may be advantageious to be the Government.
