The Army intends to negotiate a supplemental agreement with Stan's Contracting, Inc., under Contract No. DACA83-95-C-0051, FY95 OMA Pkg A-10, Replace Windows, Bldg 104; Pkg A-66, Renovate Latrines, Bldg 104; Pkg A-71, Replace Hot Water System, Bldg 102, Tripler Army Medical Center, Oahu, Hawaii, pursuant to U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1), ''Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.'' Work under the proposed supplemental agreement includes removal and replacement of the air conditioning ventilation duct system, fan coil units, chilled water pipe insulation, and various ceilings in Bldg 104, Tripler Army Medical Center as part of ongoing renovation of the building. The Army has determined that it is in its best interest to have the work performed concurrently with work being performed under Contract No. DACA83-95-C-0051 by Stan's Contracting, Inc., and that it is impracticable to have two prime contractors concurrently working in the same physical location for reasons of maintaining security of the facility and its contents, coordination of the work items, and timely completion of all work. Stan's Contracting, Inc. will be expected to place subcontracts to the maximum practicable extent with small and disadvantaged firms in accordance with Public Law 95-507. See Note 22.(0109)
