S -- CHILD CARE SERVICES SOL N00189-96-R-0077 DUE 060596 POC Marlene Chambley, Contracting Officer, (804) 444-4831 The Government will be contracting to civilian child care centers for child care services in the vicinity of U.S. Navy bases in the Hampton Roads, VA; Pearl Harbor, HI; Jacksonville, FL; San Diego, CA; and the Everett/Bremerton, WA areas. Offerors shall be certified by the National Academy of Early Childhood Program (NAECP) or in the process of receiving the accreditation, state licensed, and meet minimum insurance requirements specified in the solicitation. Conditional awards will be based on the child care center obtaining NAECP accreditation; children shall not be accepted under the contract until NAECP accreditation has been received and approval granted by the Contracting Officer for commencement services. Within six months, if not accredited, the Government will terminate for the Convenience of the Government at no cost to either party. Period of performance is 01 July 1996 or time of award which ever is later through 30 September 1996 with one additional option year. A Firm Fixed Priced type contract is anticipated. Solicitations N00189-95-R-0253 for Norfolk, VA; N00189-95-R-0260 for Jacksonville, FL; N00189-95-R-0265 Pearl Harbor, HI;N00189-95-R-0266 for San Diego, CA; and N00189-95-R-0267 Bremerton/Everett WA previously advertised in the CBD for Child Care Services is hereby combined into solicitation N00189-96-R-0077. Those firms who submitted a written request for a copy of the previous solicitation will be placed on the bidders mailing list for the new solicitation. All resposible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. Written or facsimile requests will be accepted. Requests for the solicitation must state that neither the requestor nor principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive a contract from any federal agency.
