91N11, Serial No. BIA-0150-96-3, consists of: Base Bid - Supply all
labor, equipment, materials, for the construction of a new elementary
school (grades K-4th) of approximately 21,235 S.F. Alternate No. 1 -
Supply all labor equipment, and materials for the construction of two
additional classrooms of approximately 2,487 S.F. Alternate No. 2 -
Supply all labor equipment and material for the construction of a fire
truck/maintenance building of approximately 1,000 S.F. at a site
located within the existing Pine Springs compound. The construction is
concrete block partitions with split-faced concrete masonry unit (CMU)
veneer and glazed CMU veneer at the exterior walls. The foundations
systems include concrete strip and spread footings with concrete slab
on grade. Roof system includes steel bar joists metal deck and
single-ply membrane roofing. The interior partitions consist of
concrete block and gypsum board walls. Ceiling include acoustical tile
and gypsum board or suspension systems. Other interior finishes
include glazed CUM veneer, ceramic floor and wall tile, carpet, vinyl
compositin tile, etc. Exterior work includes construction of a 2-cell
lagoon, LPG tank farm including the relocatin of 2 existing tanks and
the addition of 3 new tanks, extension of electrical and water services
to buildings. The new parking lost and access drives consist of
concrete paving w/concrete curb and gutter. Chain link fence is to be
provided at the LPG tank farm. Award of any contract resulting from
this solicitation shall be subject to Section 7(b) of Pub. 93-638 (25
U.S.C. 450(e) and 41 CFR 14.1354 which require that preference in
subcontracting be given to Indian/Alaska Native economic enterprises,
and preference in employment and training be given to Indian/Alaska
Native individuals. Consistent with these authorities, potential
bidders shall advertise and solicit subcontracting opportunities from
Indian/Alaska Native firms for suppliers and services. Section 7(b)
plan requirements will be specified in the bid document. Bidders shall
request names of potential subcontractors and suppliers from the
Tribe(s) on or whose reservation(s) the work under the contract shall
be performed. The potential awardee shall be required to submit its
plan to implement Section 7(b) when requested by the Contracting
Officer. Failure by the bidder to submit its plan required and
implement same after award shall be sufficient reason for non-award of
a contract or terminatin of contract award for default. The
procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness
Demonstration Program, P.L. 100-636. The construction price range for
Serial No. BIA-0150-96-3 is between $1 Million and $5 Million. Bid
documents will be available after May 2, 1996 at a cost of $100.00 per
set, non-refundable and payable in advance. Mail your check to the
