This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and this includes all provisions and clauses in effect thru FAC 90-37. This is a sole source requirement IAW FAR 6.302-1. This RFQ has the following line items: 0001 1 EA Fully assembled Electronic Impact Ionization Time-of-Flight (TOF) Mass Spectrometer; 0002 1 EA Comstock Windows based IBM/PC compatible TOF System Software Modules as described: 0001 - the system shall be fully factor assembled and wired. It must be compatible with laser ionization and mass resolution (m/delta m))300 for EII. The following items shall include in the system: complete second order focusing electronic impact ionization linear TOF mass spectrometer without source chamber; TF-EI-402B electronic impact source region with defining aperture in electron beam path; TF-SF-224A Source region feedthroughs, wiring; TF-FT-101 One meter length floating flight tube with integral metastable ion lens, and X-Y deflectors (The ion source, flight tube, with ion optics, and detector must be mounted as a single precision aligned assembly on a single 8 inch UHV flange; CP625C/50F 25 mm dual chevron micro channel plate detector with 50-ohm terminated anode, mounted and wired to UHV feedthroughs; TF-VT-202A Flight tube mounting and UHV vacuum tee, with removable conductance limit on source end for differential pumping TOF from source chamber; set of electron impact LTOF spectometer power supplies, to include: EGP-110 pulsed and DC electron gun power supply, externally triggerable; EGP-112R pulsed repeller power supply, computer interfaceable; TFP-210 Flight tube, deflectors, ion lens, and detector power supply system, computer interfaceable; all required cables. 0002 - Includes power supply and data acquisition system control, import of data from data acquisition system to the PC, display of mass spectra on computer monitor, and mass calibration, these modules must be designed for use with national instruments lab view as a software platform. Delivery required no later than 29 Jun 96, FOB destination, delivery to WL/MLBT.
