Box 1000, William Penn Road, Lewisburg, Pennsylvania 17837. Repair and seal west security wall. The work under this contract involves repairs to a free standing concrete and brick wall and guard towers at the United States Penitentiary, Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Scope of Work includes sandblasting of exposed concrete surfaces, patching of spalled areas of vertical concrete, replacement of portions of the concrete wall cap restoration of control joints, repair/replacement of brick surfaces, high pressure cleaning of exposed brick surfaces and application of weatherproof sealers to all exposed surfaces on a security wall 1200 Ft. long and an average of 22 Ft. High. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The solicitation will be issued on May 7, 1996. A pre-bid conference/site walk-through will conducted on May 28, 1996, at 10:00 A.M. at the United States Penitentiary, Training Center. All interested bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the pre-bid conference/site walk through. Bid opening will be held on June 11, 1996, at 1:00 P.M. at the United States Penitentiary, Training Center. The contractor will have 150 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed to complete the work. Specifications and drawings may be reviewed between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M., Monday thru Friday beginning May 7, 1996 at the Project Office, United States Penitentiary, Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Request for bid packages must be submitted in writing at any time for those interested bidders. This contract is set-aside for qualified Small Business concerns only. Bonding requirements are as follows: (1) performance bond is 100% of original contract price, (2) payment bond is 50% of contract price, (3) bid bond is 20% of bid price.
