PRESOLICITATION NOTICE. Period of performance is 1 Oct 96 - 30 Sep 97. Estimated cost of proposed acquisition is between $20,000,000 and $24,000,000. Four one-year options may be awarded. The Wright-Patterson housing office is soliciting services to provide military family housing maintenance. This service is to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, supervision and other items and services necessary to perform military family housing maintenance. Exterior maintenance inspections and repairs will be accomplished on 2333 family housing units annually. Furnace/water heater inspections and repairs will be accomplished annually on 2333 units and 4 dormitories (300 rooms). Playground equipment on 40 playgrounds will also be maintained. The acquisition is 100% set aside for small business. The applicable standard industry classification (SIC) code is 8744. Businesses, including their affiliates, employing an average of 1000 individuals or less during the past 12 months are considered small. Only small businesses will be considered for award. This solicitation will be issued approximately 1 May 96. An Ombudsman has been established for this acquisition. The only purpose of the Ombudsman is to receive and communicate serious concerns from potential offerors when an offeror prefers not to use established channels to communicate his/her concern during the proposal development phase of this acquisition.
