Architect-Engineer Services: Architect-Engineer to provide
investigative, design, and construction inspection services for the
construction of a combined aircraft fuel cell and corrosion control
facility, the alteration of an existing fuel cell facility to serve as
the base fire station, and the demolition of the existing fire
station. Facilities are located in the Indiana Air National Guard Base,
Hulman Regional Airport, Terre Haute, Indiana. The proposed fuel cell
and corrosion control facility will be used for the maintenance and
repair of aircraft fuel cells, bladders, and tanks, and the washing and
painting of aircraft, components, and equipment in an environmentally
safe atmosphere. The fire station will be converted from the existing
fuel cell facility to provide fire apparatus parking bays, a control
center, bunkrooms, and a kitchen area. Both facilities include
administrative, training and storage areas, workshops and latrines.
Interested firms will be selected based on the following criteria,
listed in order of importance: 1) Professional qualification to include
architect and environmental, mechanical, electrical, civil, and
structural engineer; 2) Specialized experience and technical competence
with these types of facilities; 3) Capacity to accomplish the work in
the required time; 4) Past performance; 5) Location of the firm's
office which will do the work in relation to the project site; 6)
Demonstrated success in prescribing the use of recovered materials and
achieving waste reduction and energy efficiency in facility design; 7)
Experience in ``soft metrics'' design. Estimated magnitude of
construction and renovation work is between $2.5 and $5 million.
Architect-Engineer firms that meet the requirements described in this
announcement are invited to submit the following, within 30 calendar
days of this publication, in order to be received by this office and
