The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire non-personal Contract Field Services (CFS), by qualified contractor personnel, for the purpose informing, instructing, training and performing maintenance related to the H1 Series Helicopter airframe, associated systems and logistics support and in support of H1 Series Helicopter Inventory control services and Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) systems and logistics support. The proposed procurement consists of twelve (12) tasks. The tasks will be for a base period of one (1) year with an option for one (1) additional year. The base period of performance will be from 01 Jan 1997 through 31 Dec 1997. This effort will be covered by a new contract. This period represents the Government's minimum needs. The solicitation will contain specifications for Contractor Field Service Representatives. The places of performance are Okinawa, Japan, New River, NC, Camp Pendleton, CA, Philadelphia, PA, New Orleans, LA, Atlanta, GA and Cherry Point, NC. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Bell Helicopter Textron, Inc. of Fort Worth, TX under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Bell Helicopter is the only supplier of these services at this time. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interests and technical capability to respond to this requirement. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification Number is 8711. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by FISC Norfolk, Detachment Philadelphia. The Government will not pay for information received.
