The Contractor shall perform the liquid rheostat system replacement as a ''Turnkey'' project, providing all materials, labor, and resources to design, engineer, relocate, modify, inspect, test, install, commission, and document the installation of a replacement liquid rheostat system for the NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) Unitary Wind Tunnel utilizing the spare NASA LaRC National Transonic Facility (NTF) rheostat. The work shall include: (1) project management, including schedules, submittals, progress meetings, progress reports, and close-out documentation, (2) engineering and design including studies, calculations, drawings, specification, and test plans, (3) site work, including relocation of the spare NTF rheostat at the Unitary Wind Tunnel, modification and installation of the spare NTF Rheostat at the Unitary Wind Tunnel, and demolition of the existing Unitary rehostat and (4) commissioning of the replacement liquid rheostat system including subsystem tests and load tests. Delivery is required no later than 472 calendar days after the date of contract award. Based on an anticipated award date of June 17, 1996, delivery shall be accomplished by October 3, 1997. --- The proposal due date of May 28, 1996 is approximate.
