The Air Force Development Test Center (AFDTC) under simplified acquisition procedures intends to solicit to one source, Metraplex corp.,5305 Spectrum Dr., Frederick, MD 21701, for one telemetry digital frequency multiplexing system. Metraplex corporation is the only known contractor who manufactures a telemetry digital frequency multiplexing system that has the bandwidth or frequency response that will meet the telemetry IRIG 106-93 Standard. The digital demultiplexing system will be used to process multiplexed FM data from telemetry receivers, magnetic tapes and microwave communication links. The salient features of the camera are: The system should have 20 independent demodulators. The modulators should be independently programmable carrier frequencies from 256HZ to 4mhz, Deviations from 0.5 percent to 50 percent and output data response from 1HZ to 500KHZ. The demodulator will have an analog output, plus a combined serial PCM output with channel ID and time tag. The digital frequency demultiplexer shall be completely programmable (front panel control), carrier frequencies and deviations covered in IRIG 106-93 telemetry standards. The demultiplexer must mount in a standard 19-inch electronic rack and operate on single-phase 120 volt,60HZ power. Required delivery is 30 days after receipt of order. Firms are also requested to submit information regarding their capabilities (i.e., literature, catalogs, brochures, etc) to furnish supplies to comply with the requirements of the government.
