The Government intends to procure this item under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Rockwell International, as the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the items to be acquired, is the only known source with the knowledge, experience and technical data necessary for the manufacturer and the design/application requirements of the equipment involved. Firms that recognize and produce the required items are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which may be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
