The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities) The work includes furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and performing all permanent in-place closure work associated with eight (8) Underground Fuel Storage Tanks. Capacities and contents are as follows: four (4), 67,000 gal. tanks used for diesel, two (2), 40,000 gal. tanks used for kerosene, and two (2), 5,000 gal. tanks used for diesel. Other work includes dewatering Complex 1B, analytical services for testing water and tank contents, working within confined spaces, and providing health and safety equipment. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $2,500,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 120 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bid sets will be available on/a April 26, 1996. Half-size plans and specifications will be furnished upon request. All requests for solicitation packages should be made in writing no later than 14 days prior to bid opening. After such time, packages will be furnished if supply is available. It has been determined that the number of sets be limited to 1 (one) per firm (additional copies will be the responsibility of the requestor).
