The Air Force Flight Test Center intends to purchase from Metraplex Fredrick Md., nine each, Digital FM DeMultiplexer Discriminators, part number DFD-08-01(CJ109); two each Digital Frequency Demultiplexer, part number DFD-20-01(CJ109) and one each Frequency Calibrator, part numer DFC-24-02 (CJ109). Components are to upgrade the existing frequency modulation equipment on the Advanced Range Instrumentation Aircraft (ARIA), and must be compatible in form, fit and function with Metraplex hardware, software and firmware. The Government intends to negotiate a contract with Metraplex Corporation unless responses to this notice reveal other sources capable of satisfying the entire requirement at more favorable prices and terms. Interested firms will only be considered if they respond with clear and convincing documentation that they are capable of meeting or exceeding the requirements stated herein at a cost sufficiently more advantageous than Metraplex Corporation.
