Brown, Ph: 202/267-2506 The U.S. Coast Guard has a requirement for the procurement of all labor, materials, equipment, and facilities for testing of monohulled boats less than twenty feet in length. These boats may be outboard (O/B), inboard (I/B), inboard/outboard (I/O), or manually powered. The O/B boats shall be tested for safe powering, flotation, and safe loading. The I/O and I/B boats shall be tested for safe loading and flotation. The manually propelled boats shall be tested for safe loading and flotation. The acquisition is being offered for competition limited to eligible 8(a) concerns. This procurement is being made under the Small Business Administration (SBA) certified 8(a) firms. Offers from concerns other than SBA certified 8(a) firms will not be acceptable. Prospective offerors are required to include a copy of their 8(a) certification letter from the Small Business Administration with their request to the solicitation in order to receive the solicitation. The period of performance is one base year and four one-year options. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 8711. The related Small Business size standard is $13.5 million.
