A. Yuen, (808) 474- 3385. This is not a request for either a quote or
proposal, or an invitation for bid. The intent of this
pre-solicitation synopsis is to identify potential offerors for an
indefinite quantity contract for change-of-occupancy housing
maintenance (COOHM) services at Kaneohe Marine Corps Base Hawaii and
Bellows Air Force Station on Oahu, Hawaii. The work includes, but is
not limited to, providing all labor, supervision, tools, materials,
equipment, and transportation necessary to perform COOHM and other
maintenance and repair to the 2,203 military family housing units and
other related real property and facilities at Kaneohe Marine Corps Base
Hawaii and Bellows Air Force Station, Oahu, Hawaii. COOHM includes
plumbing, electrical, miscellaneous quarters maintenance, painting,
custodial services, and grounds maintenance. The Government will
normally notify the contractor 20 calendar days prior to turning over
quarters for COOHM work, however, the minimum notification will be two
calendar days. The Government may require contractor to start COOHM
work on up to 10 quarters daily. SIC Code 1799 applies. The contract
includes option provisions to extend the term in subsequent years. The
total term of the contract will be a 12 month base period plus four
option years. The Government will not synopsize the options when
excerised. If the Government does not award a follow-on contract in
time, the Government may require the Contractor to continue performance
for a period up to six months beyond the 60 months. This contract will
replace a contract for similar services awarded in 1994 for the
estimated amount of $4,283,441.98 per year. We will include information
about the current contract and the incubent contractor (e.g., value of
last option exercised, firm name, address, etc.) with the solicitation
package. We do not require requests under the Freedom of Information
Act to provide this general information. Provide street address, phone
number, and facsmile number (if available) when requesting
solicitation package. Large business concerns shall submit a
subcontracting plan. This solicitation will require price and technical
proposals and offerors shall submit a bid bond of 20% of the sum of
Davis-Bacon Act work with their proposal. There will be a nonrefundable
charge for the solicitation package of approximately $14.00. Interested
