The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) seeks to award
up to two indefinite quantity contracts for offset printing, bindery,
and composition services. USAID contemplates that its printing needs
for the next 18 months will total approximately $400,000 and may award
one contract for $400,000 or two contracts at $200,000 each with a
minimum contract amount of $10,000. The contractor must have sufficient
facilities and equipment including: layout and make-ready facilities,
offset photographic equipment, offset presses, bindery equipment with
delivery and storage facilities, and composition equipment that will
provide the needs under the contract. The contract will cover full
services. Delivery orders may be issued for the printing of forms,
pamphlets, booklets, and many miscellaneous items. The contractor will
be required to pick up all copy from the New State Building, 320
Twenty-first Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. and deliver the finished
work to locations specified in the delivery order including multiple
deliveries within the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area. Production
area, assumed 50 mile radius of zero milestone, Washington, D.C. It is
estimated that an IFB will be issued on or about May 10, 1996 with a
closing date of June 11, 1996. The preferred method of distribution of
USAID procurement information is via the Internet or by request of a
solicitation on a 3.5'' floppy disk (WordPerfect 5.1/5.2 format). This
CBD notice can be viewed and downloaded using the Agency Gopher. The
IFB, once issued, can be downloaded from the Agency Gopher. The Gopher
address is GOPHER.INFO.USAID.GOV. Select USAID PROCUREMENT AND
BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES from the Gopher menu. From there, choose the
heading USAID PROCUREMENTS and then DOWNLOAD AVAILABLE USAID
SOLICITATIONS. The IFB can also be downloaded via Anonymous File
Transfer Protocol (FTP). The FTP address is FTP.INFO.USAID.GOV. Logon
on using the user identification of ''anonymous'' and the password is
your e-mail address. Look under the following directory for the IFB:
pub/OP/IFB/FAO603/fao603.ifb. Receipt of this IFB through INTERNET must
be confirmed by written notification to the contact person noted above.
It is the responsibility of the recipient of this solicitation document

should supply three self-addressed mailing labels for the solicitation
