The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) has a requirement for two (2) Enhanced Data Display Systems (EDDS). The EDDS will be rack mounted in 2 ruggedized PC chassis. Each chassis will fit within the following rack dimensions, 19'' (W) x 24'' (D) x 36'' (H). Each EDDS must be fully IRIG Class I and II compliant. Both EDDS's will be composed of the following items and must be commercial off the shelf (COTS): (1) Each; Data Decommutator, capable of decommutation of serial data rates of 15 Mb/s (NRZ-L) minimum and accept IRIG time code ''B''. The decommutator must provide for synchronous time tagging data with microsecond resolution. The EDDS will be capable of processing 32,000 words/frame. The EDS must provide a network capability, either from the decommutator or the PC. One (1) each, Bit Synchronizer, capable of processing data rates of 15 Mb/s (NRZ-L) minimum. The bit synchronizer must provide a serial output with user selectable IRIG formats for data recorders. One (1) each, Software package capable of user configurable displays using the Windows or Windows style format. the software will have various displays including but not limited to dial gauge, bar charts, tabular, stripchart (std & scrolling). The software will also have a provision for displaying alarm limits and changing background colors based on alarm limits. The government will supply the ruggedized chassis and the VGA monitors for the EDDS. The contractor will then integrate the Decommutator and Bit Synchronizer into the chassis and fully test each system to certify IRIG Class I and II compliance.
