equipment to provide and install modular units on site at the Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention, Chamblee Facility. The units shall
be designed, manufactured, transported and set-up on site and set in
operation as a turn-key installation. The units are intended to provide
the CDC a flexible, easily deployed, rugged, and vibration free
facility for conducting its research. The units shall meet or exceed
standards for Biological Safety Level-2 and meet 1994 Standard Building
Code Type V construction. It shall be the responsibility of the
Contractor to supply all items to ensure such performance on a fully
installed, ready to operate basis. Site/civil work includes, but is not
limited to: supporting foundations; extension of utilities to building
site; building base construction; perimeter wall construction. The
individual units shall have, as a minimum, a life expectancy of 10
years, and be capable of three (3) locations during this period. The
estimated cost range of this requirement is between $250,000 and
$500,000 and is UNRESTRICTED. Solicitation (IFB) 96-78 will be
available on or about 5/16/96. Only written requests for the
