Specialist, 202-268-4124. Sources are sought to support the U. S.
Postal Service (USPS) Deposit Reporting System. The system contains
approximately 7,000 banking post offices, each of which maintains a
depository bank account. The system operates as follows: 1) at the
close of each business day, each post office dispatches a deposit of
the day's receipts to its depository for bank credit to the relevant
depository bank account. 2) a designated post office employee makes a
telephone call to the Postal Service Deposit Reporting Vendor (DRV) on
a Universal ''800'' in-WATS line. 3) the DRV prepares and processes
postal deposit information once each day. 4) the DRV creates a data
tape in Automated Clearing House (ACH) format for direct transmission
to the Postal Service concentration bank. 4) the Postal Service
concentration bank receives a data transmission from the DRV once each
day. 6) ACH entries must be processed and deposited within rigid
Federal Reserve time schedules. Information should be sent to M. Nhan
