C -- SUBSTATION CONDITIONING AND UPGRADING FOR SCADA SYSTEM INSTALLATION SOL 10-MLB-96 DUE 040996. Contact Mike Brubaker, 702/295-7606. Bechtel Nevada (BN) the Management & Operating Contractor for the Department of Energy at the Nevada Test Site (NTS) is in the process of upgrading the site wide power distribution system at the NTS and installing a SCADA System. A request for proposals (RFP) is planned to be issued for the purpose of substation conditioning and upgrading in coordination with the installation of the SCADA System. This conditioning and upgrading is planned for five substations and the main switching center. The scope of work includes the installation of transducers for monitoring, replacement of breaker control switches with control switch relays, installing remote terminal units, interface cabinets, and other associated upgrades. BN through the referenced RFP plans to issue a construction subcontract to a company with proven experience in the type of work required to successfully complete the project described herein. (085)
