The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to negotiate a sole source modification to an existing contract with Teradyne Incorporated for an additional 109 single user site licenses for the Memory Test (MEMTest) and Boundary Scan Intelligent Diagnostics (BSID) software tools, Class 1 CA-209-23, VX Single User Workstation Licenses for the Logic Automated Stimulus and Response (LASAR) Version (V) 6, and VX-2 software modules in order to support the Navy's development of Digital Test Program Sets (TPS) for the Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS). These licenses will expire December 1996. This acquisition is for supplies for which the NAWCADLKE does not own specifications or drawings to permit full and open competition. NAWCADLKE intends to procure this item under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. Teradyne, Inc. of Boston, MA as the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the above software is the only known source with the knowledge, experience and technical data necessary. Firms that recognize and produce the required items are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which may be considered.
