McAllister (301) 619-7360 (Site Code DAMD17) Proposals are solicited from sources having the capability and technological expertise to determine the identity, purity, strength, quality, physical and chemical characteristics, and stability of drug candidates both neat and formulated. The contractor shall perform analytical, stability, and physical characterization studies which at a minimum meet the requirements of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and the regulations of the Food and Drug Administration. All studies shall be performed in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice Regulations and in an FDA-licensed facility. The Contractor shall be flexible, able to study several candidate drugs and drug formulations simultaneously, and be able to respond rapidly to changing priorities. RFP No. DAMD17-96-R-0023 will be issued on or about June 10, 1996. A cost-type contract is contemplated for a period of five years, and source selection will be based on the technical merits of the proposals with secondary interest on costs and other factors.
