The purpose of the proposed acquisition is to provide engineering and technical support services in support of the TUBA, SSN-21, NSSN, SSN 688, TRIDENT, SC-21, and other Surface Ship Programs in the areas of ship signatures reduction, signature measurement technology and systems development programs, signatures analysis, and non-propulsion electronic systems (NPES). This is the competitive follow-on procurement of services presently being provided under contract N00167-92-D-0005 with DDL OMNI ENGINEERING INC. A five year IDIQ cost reimburesement type contract with an estimated 76,000 labor hours per year is contemplated. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 1 MAY 1996, with receipt of proposals due 45 days thereafter. (0082)
