The work includes the design and construction of a new Physical Fitness Center consisting of 4,095 Square Meters of space containing a 25 meter swimming pool, gymnasium with basketball and volleyball courts, multi-use fitness area, racquetball courts, men's and women's shower and locker rooms, a family shower and locker room, control desk, equipment storage, laundry facilities, a pedestrian bridge to existing building #502, Mechanical and Electrical systems, utility extensions and upgrading the site conditions and related incidental work. During performance of this work, asbestos, hazardous waste, or pollution abatement may be encountered. The work is located at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, Washington. This is a Design-Build project and Source Selection procedures will be used. Offerors will be required to submit technical, management and price proposals. The technical proposals will be based on the following evaluation factors: Factor I - Professional Qualifications of Key Personnel, Factor II - Past Performance. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 12 April 1996 at no charge until supply is exhausted. Contract completion time is 600 calendar days for design and construction.
