Contracting Officer 11th Contracting Squadron, Bolling AFB, DC intends
to procure Sole Source (Firm-Fixed Price) from Cincinnati Electronics
Corp. ten (10) UHF satellite communications remote amplifier systems
#AM-50PLUS. The preamplifier/amplifier system provides the capability
for remote amplification of UHF Satellite Radios. The system will allow
remoting of the antenna 200 feet minimum. The system will allow control
of amplification from the radio location and allow frequency changes
without a requirement for special cables, tuning, or band switching.
Any sources responding to this synopsis must meet the following
criteria: (a) Compatibility with the following radios: AN/URC-110,
LST-5 series, MST-29, MISTE II. (b) Power requirements: +24 VDC from
two BB-590/U or two BA-5590/U batteries. (c) Power output: 50 watts.
(d) Preamplifier: low noise figure of 3.0 dB. (d) Frequency Ranges:
(Transmit--290-320 MHz), (Receive--240-270 MHz). (e) Physical:
Amplifier 4'' x 4'' x 15''; Remote power control 1.5'' x 1.5'' x 4.5'';
Weight less than 8 pounds total w/o batteries. All responses must be
received by 4:30 p.m. on 12 April 1996 and should indicate ability to
