Cobb (602) 267-2841 (Site Code DAHA02) The work is situated at the Air National Guard (ANG) Base, near the Tucson International Airport. The principal components of the work consists of (1) installation of ground water extraction, treatment, and recharge system to include air-strippers, vapor phase granular activated carbon vessels, surge tank, chemical feed tanks, pumps, piping, valve controls and electrical service; (2) construction of a reinforced concrete treatment pad, chain link enclosure with swing type gates and a roof canopy; (3) installation of extraction/recharge wells, pumps, piezometers, and well head equipment; and (4) underground piping, conduit installation, trench filling and compaction. Invitations for Bids requests must be received prior to attending the manditory preproposal conference/site visit scheduled for April 16, 1996. Copies of solicitations are $45.00 each. Personal checks and cash will NOT be accepted. Checks or money orders shall be made out to the U.S. Federal Treasury. Only requests in writing will be accepted for solicitations documents. Plans are available for inspection, without charge, at the ANG Base located at 1500 E. Valencia Rd., Tucson, AZ and at the Contruction Engineers Office. The estimated price is expected to range from $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Bid issue on or about March 27, 1995. Bid opening on or about April 29 1996. Performance period will be 300 Calendar days.
