Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform drydock
& repairs including but not limited to the following minimum items:
(1) remove, inspect and reinstall propeller shaft (2) fabricate and
install propeller nut seal retainer (3) renew water-lubricated shaft
bearings (4) remove and reinstall propeller (5) clean and test grid
coolers (6) preserve the transducer hull rings and renew the depth
indicating transducer (7) overhaul, renew and test valves (8) remove,
inspect and reinstall rudder (9) clean and inspect diesel fuel tanks
(10) remove and dispose of fuel (11) provide new diesel fuel (12) clean
and inspect sewage and grey water collection and holding tank (13)
renew corrosion preventive zinc anodes (14) temporary logistics (15)
routine drydocking (16) renew section gunwale (17) renew engine room
framing (18) cabin top soft patch repair (19) renew water tight doors
(20) renew deck covering (21) preserve freeboard. Indefinite items
include but are not limited to the following: (1) welding repairs (2)
stud renewal (3) renew shaft covering (4) straighten shaft (5) renew
shaft sleeves (6) renew rudder bearing (7) additional temporary
logistics (8) provide temporary messing. Vessel's homeport for the
USCGC LINE is Governors Island, N.Y.. Vessel availability schedule is
05 Aug 96 for 35 days. Vessel's length is 65 foot. Specifications will
be issued on or after 29 Mar 1996. All referenced documents are
available for viewing at building 400N, Governors Island, NY. A charge
of $100.00 is required in the form of a Certified check or money order
made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. Plans and
specifications will be issued on or after 29 Mar 96. All responsible
Sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by The United States
Coast Guard. For Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business
Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and
Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority,
women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital and bonding assistance for
transportation-related contract. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to
$500,000 per contract to provide accounts receivable financing. The DOT
Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance
and payments bonds up to $500,00 per contract. DOT provides an 80
percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. For
