The Housing Authority of the City of New Haven (HANH) seeks proposals from organizations, agencies, contractors, consultants, and/or other parties wishing to act as Mobility Counselors to recipients of Section 8 Certificates and Vouchers; to conduct outreach to private owners of rental housing; and to act as a clearinghouse for affordable housing listings in the New Haven-Meriden MSA. The program is part of an effort to help Section 8 certificate-holders make informed choices regarding housing opportunities and assist those wishing to move away from areas of minority concentration, this program will be conducted with funds provided to HANH by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, in connection with a Settlement Agreement, approved by the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, in the case of Christian Community Action et al. vs. Cisneros et al. Respondents may be required to attend an informational meeting at HANH prior to the RFP submission deadline. The contract to be awarded will be for an initial 1-year term with renewal upon satisfactory completion of specific performance criteria. (073)
