NRA-96-OSS-08 POC Dr. Patricia Rogers tel: 202/358-0294 The National
Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is issuing NASA Research
Announcement (NRA 96-OSS-08) for the Origins of Solar Systems Program
(OSSP). The opportunity to propose will be open from April 5, 1996, to
July 5, 1996. Participation is open to all categories of
organizations, both domestic and foreign: industry, educational,
institutions, other nonprofit organizations, NASA centers, and other
Government agencies. This notice constitutes a NASA Research
Announcement as contemplated in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
6.102(d)(2). NASA is soliciting proposals to conduct scientific
investigations related to understanding the formation and early
evolution of planetary systems and to provide the fundamental research
and analysis necessary to detect and characterize other planetary
systems. These investigations may involve analytical and numerical
modeling, laboratory research, and observational studies in the
following areas: star formation, solar nebula processes, accumulation
and dynamical evolution, analysis of primitive materials, and detection
of other planetary systems. Investigations should directly support the
goals related to understanding planetary system formation. Copies of
the NRA and appendices will be available after the release date of
April 5, 1996. The Internet URL address is:
