Base has a requirement for: (1) G-Band transponder, 6 each (2) G-band
variable power divider, 6 each, (3) G-band/X-band antenna, 10 each.
Requirements are: (1) G-Band transponder. Transmitter and receiver
frequency range 5.4 Ghz to 5.9 Ghz. Receiver sensitivity -70 dBm
minimum. Replies to a single pulse with the following characteristics:
Pulse width 0.25 to 5.0 microseconds, rise time 100 nanoseconds or
less. Replies to a two-pulse coded interrogation with the following
characteristics: Pulse width 0.25 to 1.0 microseconds, rise time 100
nanoseconds or less, code spacing continuously variable from 3 to 12
microseconds, decoder limits respond to an interrogation within +/-
0.15 microseconds interrogations at +/- 0.30 microseconds or greater
from the code space setting. The output pulse has the following
characteristics: Pulse width fixed +/- 40% of the fixed width,
adjustable 250 nanoseconds to 500 nanoseconds; rise time not to exceed
100 nanoseconds; fall time not to exceed 200 nanoseconds; variation
not to exceed 10 nanoseconds; RF pulse spectrum in Mhz shall not exceed
3.0 divided by the pulse width in microseconds; Spurious radiation
shall be limited to at least 60 dB suppression of transmitter harmonics
and at least 80 dB below the power radiated at the frequency to which
the transmitter is tuned. Antenna terminal input/output of 50 ohms,
nominal. At least 100 watts power output under all operating
conditions. Pulse repetition frequency (PRF): PRFs from 10 to 3000 pps,
and any duty cycle up to .002. No permanent damage when subjected to
interrogations which exceed the duty cycle limitation. Meets all
operating requirements within 50 microseconds after the interrogation
PRF falls to the maximum specified value. Selectivity: The receiver
rejection provides at least 80 dB of rejection outside of the receiver
tuning range. The image frequency rejection at least 60 dB. Receiver
bandwidth greater than 8 Mhz and less than 14 Mhz. Input Voltage: The
transponder operates over a range of 22 to 32 volts DC. Grounding: All
exterior surfaces at ground potential. Temperature, altitude,
vibration, shock, acceleration and humidity meet Mil-Std-810.
Interference limits: IAW Mil-Std-461 and Mil-Std-462. Salt fog: IAW
Mil-Std-810. Size: less than 45 cubic inches and less than 50 ounces.
Authorization: The product offered must possess a joint frequency panel
12 number approval. (2) G-Band variable power divider. Tunable
frequency range: 5.4 to 5.9 Ghz. Impedance: 50 ohms. Power division:
two outputs variable from equal power ratio to any ratio. Connector:
TNC (female). Insertion loss: less than or equal to 0.5 dB. Vibration:
Able to handle 20 Gs. Physical dimensions: no greater than 3 1/2'' x
3'' x 2 1/2''. (3) G-Band/X-Band antenna. Frequency range: 5.4 to 9.6
Ghz. Impedance: 50 ohms. Azimuth beamwidth: Omnidirectional. Elevation
bandwidth: that of a quarter wave stub. Polarization: Vertical
(linear). Connector TNC (female). Physical: Radome enclosed and the
antenna shall have a mounting thickness between 0.20 to 0.24 inches.
Altitude: minimum of 50,000 ft. This requirement is 100% set aside for
small business. SIC Code is 3663. Size standard is 750 employees.
Desired delivery is 180 days after receipt of order. Simplified
acquisition procedures will be used in the solicitation and award of
this contract. Only written quotations will be accepted. The
anticipated award date is 30 Apr 96. All offerors interested in
receiving an RFQ must fax in their request by 1 Apr 96. Fax
(805)258-9689. Telephone requests to be placed on the mailing list will
not be honored. (0072) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0230 19960313\58-0001.SOL)
