2805-01-357-6566, part number 5-45-5302, M17 decon engine modkit. For
use on the M17 decontamination system. Requirements are 550 EA M17
decon MOD kit. This conversion kit contains all the COM-ponents
necessary to convert an M17 lightweight decontaminating apparatus from
the ILO (197CC) engine to the amw cuyuna (215CC) engine. This
conversion basically consists of replacing the engine assembly and the
engine Mount. The operation and controls are the same as the ILO
engine, except for the fuel/oil mixture ratio. The new wiring contains
a transformer and installation instructions. This trans-former
converts the engine alternator output to the proper voltages for the
M17 control module. FOB is destination. All or part of this action is
an unfunded FY96 requirement. MIL-I-45208 inspection cri-Teria
required. Proposed contract is a 100 percent small businessset-aside.
First article test is required. Estimated issue date of this
Solicitation is 040196. Contractors are hereby notified of the
following requirement: In order to receive the solicitation/technical
data package, all contractors are required to execute a nondisclosure
agreement binding contractors to the terms and conditions of the
agreement. Copies of the nondisclosure agree Ment shall be requested
from the following address: Director, TACOM-ACALA, Attn:
AMSTA-AC-PCH-a/Cindy Ahrens, Rock Island, IL 61299-7630. The
nondisclosure agreement must be signed by an offi-cial authorized to
legally bind the Company. Upon execution of the nondisclosure
agreement, return an original copy, certified mail to the above
address. Nondisclosure statements will be available prior to the
issuance of the Solicitation and contractors are encouraged to request
and complete the above requirement as soon as possible. Licensing
agreement is with engineered Air Systems and Karl H. Hoie & Co. A/S
requires manufacturing within the United States, Canada and United
States territories. Effective 1 Oct 94 AMCCOM separated into two new
commands, the Industrial Operation Command (IOC) and the AC-quisition
chemical armament logistics activity (ACALA). It is IM perative that
special attention be Given when addressing requests for solicitations
and BIDS/offers. Failure to properly address requests for solicitations
in accordance with this CBD notice will result innon-receipt of the
Solicitation package. Failure to properly addressbids/offers in
accordance with Solicitation instructions may result in a late bid
