GS09P96KTC0026. Cost Range: $1 million - $2.5 million. This is a 100%
SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. Work includes labor, materials, equipment and
supervision required to complete the alterations and improvement to the
Edward J. Schwartz Federal Office Building, Sixth Floor United States
Attorney's Office. Approximately 35,211 s.f. Includes asbestos removal,
demolition, woodwork, fire proofing, doors and frames, metal stud and
gypsum board walls, insulation, acoustical ceilings, carpet/carpet
tiles, resilient flooring, painting, wallcovering, miscellaneous
equipment, plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, electrical
work, modifications to existing fire sprinkler and alarm systems,
cutting and patching. As an additive alternate to the Base Bid, Build
out of a Grand Jury Room approximately 1,500 s.f. located on the Fifth
Floor North to include additional sound insulation, cypher locks,
signage installations, and demolition. This project is divided into two
phases to allow the Government to vacate between completion date of
Phase I into Phase II. The Standard Industrial Code for this project is
1542, the small business size standard is $17.0 million. Construction
performance time is 250 calendar days after the receipt of the Notice
to Proceed. Issue date is approximately April 8, 1996. Bid Opening date
is approximately May 15, 1996. 20% Bid Bond is required. Performance
and Payment Bonds are required. Requests should indicate whether the
firm is interested in participating as a Prime Contractor,
Subcontractor, or Supplier. No telephone requests will be accepted.
Bidders responding under this advertisement will not be required to
resubmit request once formally advertised. Responses are due no later
than 15 calendar days after publication of the advertisement in the
CBD. Initial distribution of solicitation is limited to Small
Businesses only performing as a Prime Contractor. Large businesses may
request if performing as a subcontractor or supplier. Copies of the
solicitation will be sent, if available. Copies of the solicitation
will be available for review at the project location. Formal Bid
Synopsis will give further detail on direct purchase of plans and
specifications. Requests should include the name and telephone number
of the requesting individual in addition to your company name, mailing
address, and whether your organization is a large, small or small
disadvantaged business and would be performing as a prime,
