Young, (202)565-4451 A response is requested from interested parties who would qualify and competitively bid this project if it were limited to Small Business Competition as defined by FAR 52.219. The project consists of the construction of a 140,000 gsf two-story addition, with interstitial levels for medical, surgical, and general clinics, pharmacy and support functions. Work includes asbestos abatement, general demolition, and renovation of portions of the existing Hospital, Building 110A, and Building 67 and Building 93. The new Addition is concrete and structural steel frame clad in masonry and precast concrete. Project includes interior finishes; complete fire sprinkler, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and fire alarm systems; sitework, including asphalt and concrete paving; connection of utilities to existing underground steam, electrical, domestic water, sanitary and storm system; and certain other items --- Cost Range: Between $20,000,000 and $50,000,000. Bidders will be required to furnish performance bonds, bid bonds and representation/certifications to comply with Small Business requirements. Only Prime/General contractors may respond. Replies shall be submitted as a certified letter stating that they are a Small Business Prime/Contractor who will bid the project and request that their name will be placed on the mailing list to receive the Presolicitation Notice.
