The following descriptions are offered as a basis in which to formulate a reply to this notice. The Sacramento Air Logistics Center is seeking repair sources for the Test and Calibration Signal Generator (TCSG) NSN: 6625-01- 216-5850GO. The TCSG generates signals for calibration and maintenance. The TCSG can apply simulated RF signals to the downconverter or to the Monitor Station Antenna Element low noise amplifier electronics. It can also simulate the IF signals which the downconverter sends to the receiver chassis. The TCSG selects its output signal type and point of signal injection points assists in isolating malfunctions to an element or Equipment Replaceable Unit. The TCSG can be operated remotely by computer, permitting extensive self-monitoring. A Monitor Control Station operator can also operate the TCSG remotely to run special tests. The TCSG is a very sophisticated signal generator. It can simulate the P and C/A codes as well as carrier signals. The TCSG can check operation of all the receiver channels by simulating reception of satellite signals or downconverter IF output.
