99 -- IDENTIFICATION TAGS FOR ATTACHMENT TO WILDLIFE PELTS OF SELECTED SPECIES AUTHORIZED FOR EXPORTATION SOL FWS-9-OMA-96-001. Due 040596. POC Ramona J Polk, 703/358-1728. The Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) has a requirement for wildlife pelt identification tags. The tags must be non-reusable with a self-locking mechanism, tamper resistant, resistant to heat and cold (-70 F to 150 F), impervious to tanning compounds and must carry a permanent readable legend which identifies the state, year and a unique serial number. The information in the legend should also be included in a bar code on the tag. The tags must be available in eleven clearly distinguishable colors. Delivery would be to approximately 49 locations within the United States. The contract will include four (4) one-year options to extend the term of the contract. Interested firms should submit written request for IFB package to the POC Ramona J Polk, Contracting Officer. IFB Number must be referenced. No telephone requests will be accepted.
