The Naval Command, Control, and Ocean Surveillance Center, RDTE Division has a requirement, which will be procured only from nonprofit institutions of higher education. The successful offeror will perform academic research, development, and analysis in the following technical areas: High performance computing concepts including parallel algorithms and architures; Intelligent and fault-tolerant machine information processing, such as neural networks and artificial intelligence; Advanced high speed computing hardware (i.e.: VLSI); Sensor technology over the entire spectral range from seismic to electromagnetic frequencies; Advanced signal processing, information processing, and data fusion concepts; Advanced communication system concepts; Mathematical modeling and simulation of advanced military systems and operating environments; Statistical and experimental analysis of human performance factors related to military systems; Environmental analysis and prediction for military operations and facilities; Development of vehicles, structures and facilities for trhe marine environment.
