The Ballistic Missile Defense Organization (BMDO) intends to issue a sole source contract to BDM Federal to continue information resources development and implementation services under contract SDIO84-92-C-0020 for a period of 180 days starting May 1, 1996. This continuation of services is required due to a number of requirements changes in the statement of work (SOW) for the proposed follow-on procurement, entitled Ballistic Missile Defense Management Support Systems (MSS) (solicitation HQ0006-96- R-0002), which was synopsized as a full and open competition under CBD announcement 96-09 on February 13, 1996. BMDO still intends to release a Request For Proposals (RFP) for MSS HQ0006- 96-R-0002 in the Spring of 1996. Future information related to solicitation HQ0006-96-R-0002 will be posted on the BMDO Acquisition Reporting Bulletin Board (BARBB). A draft version of the SOW for RFP HQ0006-96-R-0002 will be posted on the BARBB for industry review and comment by February 29, 1996.
