Baker Jr. U.S. Courthouse, Knoxville, TN - Requirements of this contract consist of a new Annex building constructed in the courtyard of the existing facility. This project is set aside for Small Business Concerns. The new Annex building will interface to the various office areas of the existing facility. Renovations will occur in the existing facility. The Annex building will be approximately four stories in height and will contain several federal courtrooms, along with supporting spaces and facilities. The following categories of work will be included in the overall construction work: goetechnical, site preparation, structural, architectural, interiors, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler systems, electrical power, lighting, fire alarm, telecommunications and security systems. Existing systems will be renovated and expanded to accommodate the new Annex building. Government bid acceptance time will be sixty (60) days. The anticipated solicitation issue date is March 12, 1996. Specifications and Plans will be limited to three (3) sets per contractor based on availability.
